Wellness Pet Food Recall

Wellness, a popular Massachusetts-based natural pet-food company, is voluntarily recalling a limited amount of 95 Percent Beef Topper for Dogs canned food.

In a statement, the company said a small amount of one recipe has the potential to contain elevated levels of a naturally occurring beef thyroid hormone. Elevated levels of the hormone may affect a dog’s metabolism and can be associated with increased thirst, increased urinary output, restless behavior, and weight loss, the company said. 

This recall only affects the following product varieties:

UPC number: 7634489450
Size: 13.20 oz cans
Best-By Dates: 02 FEB 19, 29 AUG 19, 30 AUG 19

Best-by dates are located on the bottom of the can.
