Transition Plans and Moving Forward

I have a few brief updates for you today.

Board Selects Our Next GM!

I would like to extend my public congratulations to Amanda Charland for being selected as the Co-op’s next General Manager. I know she is very excited about the opportunity and is looking forward to assuming her new responsibilities.

Rest assured the transition of responsibilities between now and the end of April will be smooth. To that end, I am developing a detailed transition plan that Amanda and I will work towards implementing in the weeks ahead. More to come.

Masks

Beginning tomorrow, masks are recommended but not required at all Co-op locations. This has been a long time coming. That said, remember that all other COVID safety policies are still in place, including social-distancing recommendations, extensive overnight cleaning procedures, and the use of Plexiglas® shields. Also, if have concerns and prefer to wear a mask, please do. You will always be supported here. You may also want to consider shopping earlier in the day when the stores are not as crowded.

Hanover Sustainability Master Plan Event

You are all invited to participate in an upcoming virtual forum on Saturday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to noon, about The Hanover Sustainability Master Plan. You can read more about the project here.

I know this is the same day as the Co-op Annual Meeting. But if you cannot make the Annual Meeting and would still like to participate in this public forum, I highly encourage you to do so. Much to the town’s credit, the planning effort is community-driven, with a focus on broad and inclusive engagement. All are welcome and will be asked to think about how the town should grow over the next decade.

Beginning March 26, a virtual meeting room will be live where you can learn more about the issues. To visit the virtual meeting room and attend the forum, scan the QR code on the graphic above or visit this link.

Wrap Up

As always, thank you to all our members and shoppers for your ongoing support. We will talk again later in the week. Remember to be kind to one another and to yourselves, and we look forward to serving you in our stores and at the curbside.

Onward and upward,

Paul
