The HCCS Board of Directors Election Committee Announces the 2019 Board of Director Candidates

It’s almost voting season! This year we are grateful to have eight outstanding candidates for five open seats. Four candidates are currently serving on the board. They include Kevin Birdsey, William Craig, Jessica Giordani, and Edwin Howes. The four new candidates are Emmanuel Ajavon, Carrie Kocik, Peggy O’Neil and Allene Swienckowski.

You’ll have lots of opportunities to learn more about each candidate as voting draws near. Candidate information, including photos and statements, will be available in each store and on our website. During the month of April, the candidates will be tabling in the stores, so you can meet them face to face. We’ll have a candidate forum at our Annual Meeting at LISTEN Community Services in White River Junction on April 6th, where you’ll have an opportunity to meet them again and ask questions. We’ll also live broadcast the forum, so you can watch it and participate from home.

Voting takes place in stores and online from April 1st through April 30th. All members are encouraged and welcome to vote. This is one of the many ways you can exercise your democratic duty of cooperative ownership. Your Co-op is led by this volunteer board, which helps set the future of the organization. Stay tuned for more!
