Thank you all for joining us on a beautiful Saturday morning in November (who expected that?)! As a community you raised more than $1000.00 for the LISTEN Community Center Food Pantry. All in all we collected 4,000 lbs. or 2.07 tons of paper. What does this mean?
You saved:
- 36 trees
- 14,190 gallons of water
- 8,487 kilowatts of energy
- 123 pollutants from entering the atmosphere
- 9 cubic yards of landfill
- End result—a financial savings of $10,809
And you may ask, where did all this shred end up? This loop is closed by all the shredded paper being turned in to facial tissue and brown paper napkins—so COOL!
