Members, We Want Your Vote!

Has the acrimony and general yuck factor of national politics got you down? We feel you. Here’s something positive to restore your faith in democracy: vote in the upcoming Co-op Board of Directors election!

Voting begins April 1. Now is the time to learn about the candidates. Voting is fast, it’s easy, the candidates are nice, and the entire process is led by the spirit of one member, one vote. (None of that fishy lose-the-popular-vote, still-win-the-election stuff here, people!)

Check out #2 in the list of Co-op Principles:

Cooperatives are democratic organizations controlled by their members, who actively participate in setting their policies and making decisions. Men and women serving as elected representatives are accountable to the membership. In primary co-operatives members have equal voting rights (one member, one vote) and co-operatives at other levels are also organized in a democratic manner.

In short, co-ops are democratically run, led by a Board that is elected each year. Our Co-op elections are held each spring.

Voting opens April 1, 2018. Voting closes April 30, 2018. Co-op members with at least 10 shares of stock may vote. One vote per membership. Only the owner of the membership may vote.

Learn more about the candidates and vote online here, beginning April 1. We look forward to counting your vote!

NOURISH. CULTIVATE. COOPERATE.
