Jif Peanut Butter Products Recalled Nationwide due to Possible Salmonella Contamination

J.M. Smucker Co., the parent company for Jif peanut butter, issued a voluntary recall on Friday of multiple Jif peanut butter products after a salmonella outbreak was linked to a Lexington, Ky., production facility.

According to the FDA, affected products were marked with the lot codes 1274425–2140425. Lot codes are typically printed on the label of the container near the best-if-used-by date. A full list of the recalled products with lot codes can be found on the FDA’s website.
