Co-op Members,
A very happy New Year to all of you. I hope you enjoyed a well-deserved holiday. Looking back over the last few weeks, I want you to know that once again Co-op staff surpassed my already-high expectations. Holiday sales were much stronger than anticipated, a testament to our employees’ hard work and insight. This comes as no surprise. Since I started here last September, I’ve learned to never underestimate how extraordinarily good Co-op employees can be at the work they do.
Sales numbers don’t begin to tell the whole story, of course. The real impact is what our members and shoppers have experienced and how we’ve enriched their lives. Here are just a few of the comments I have received recently:
You are extremely well-stocked and organized for the day after Christmas! Produce looked beautiful and fresh and plentiful. I imagine it took a huge amount of work.
Overall store looks great and staff welcoming.
The staff of all the Co-op are so great and I’m thankful for every one.
In summary, a job very well done by all. My thanks to all of our members for your many contributions to the Co-op. You helped the Co-op end 2016 on very strong footing, which puts us in a great position as we start the new year.
For 2017, I’d like you to see where we are going. I invite you to read our 2017 Business Plan, saved here. Please take some time to review it, and as always, reach out to me anytime with your questions or comments. My door is always open to you.
