To Our Community,
Happy snowy Earth Day! In my letter to you this week, I would like to update you on several important things happening at your Co-op.
Case Lot Sale and Producers Fair
Due to social-distancing concerns and the pandemic’s ongoing impact on product availability and pricing, we have decided not to hold our annual Case Lot sale this October. Instead, we will continue to offer our popular case-savings promotion each month, focusing on the products that are selling well.
Further, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided not to hold our annual Producers Fair celebration later this summer. Obviously this has not been an easy decision. However, unless and until the CDC and local health officials advise otherwise, we will continue to make decisions based on the aggressive social distancing policies we have followed since the beginning of the pandemic.
Voting
Do not forget, if you are a Co-op member, there is still time to vote for your Board of Directors. Remember, your vote matters! All elections need to have at least 500 votes.
Vote in stores or online at mycoopvote.com now through April 30. Our teams will be counting the votes the morning of May 1 and expect to know all results the same day.
Employment Marketing
As I have written previously, we are working to improve our employment hiring process by focusing on the entire applicant journey. The first step is revamping our job postings. Our HR and Marketing teams have done extensive research on how our competitors advertise their job postings. From this review, they have created several versions of our most frequently used job postings and will be testing those postings with our new hires.
Based on the feedback of which version resonates best with our new hires, the next step is to take a closer look at the channels in which those postings appear. This is a very important and exciting initiative. I would like to thank our HR and Marketing teams for their focus and hard work on evolving this process.
Wrap Up
Thank you to our cooperative community, and please feel free to reach out to me anytime. In the meantime, remember to be kind to one another and to yourselves. We look forward to serving you in our stores and at the curbside.
Onward and upward,
Thanks,
Paul
