To Our Community,
I have a very brief message for all of you today.
This is the time of the year our thoughts and attention naturally turn to those we care about. We do our best to carve out more space in our lives to spend time with family and friends, and in our line of work at the Co-op, that is not always easy
to do.
Over the past year and a half, while many have been able to stay home and even remain out of work, those of us working in essential services have not been able to do that.
So today I asked our employees to do something for me, and more importantly, to do something for themselves: When they can, take some well-deserved time away. I want our employees to step back, be proud of the many things they have accomplished, and enjoy the solace of being with family and friends. (GM’s orders!) No one has earned it more.
In the meantime, my thanks to all of our members and shoppers for the ongoing support of the Co-op and the good people who work here. From all of us, have a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season. We will talk again on Thursday, January 6. Until then, we look forward to serving you in our stores and at the curbside.
Onward and upward,
Paul
