New Start, New Year – Eating for a Healthier Future

Eating a plant-based diet has been shown to lower the risk of developing coronary heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. It’s also good for the planet! Plant-based or plant-forward eating doesn’t mean that you must be vegetarian or vegan and never eat meat or dairy. Rather, you simply choose more of your foods from plant sources.

Join Co-op education team member and nationally certified health-and-wellness coach Laurie Gelb to learn simple and easy ways to move toward a more plant-based diet. Join us for this engaging discussion/cooking series filled with lots of information, tips, and techniques, which will culminate with a plant-based meal that we’ll cook together virtually. Each session will build on the previous one as we make our way through the parts of the healthy “plate” as it relates to a plant-based diet.
