You may have seen the in-store materials on farmworker welfare this past week. March 27-31 is Farmworker Awareness Week and we’re centering our in-store education around the working conditions for those who pick our food.

There are many organizations working toward bringing awareness to the conditions that farmworkers endure picking our food. One such organization is the Coalition of Immokalee Workers. The Center for Investigative Reporting ran a story in 2015 on the Coalition of Immokalee Workers Fair Food Program’s entry into the strawberry industry. Listen here.
