Dr. Praeger’s Tex Mex and California Veggie Burgers Recall

Products recalled for potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods—a NJ-based, all-natural frozen foods company—has issued a voluntary recall of California and Tex Mex Veggie Burgers after the source of some of its vegetables, CRF Frozen Foods, issued a recall of its products due to poential Listeria monocytogenes contamination

Listeria monocytogenes is a bacterium that can cause listeriosis (commonly called listeria), a serious infection characterized by fever, muscle aches, diarrhea, and other gastrointestinal symptoms. Listeria is sometimes fatal in young children, the frail and elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.

Affected Products
Recalled varieties include California, UPC # 80868-00010, and Tex Mex, UPC # 80868-00048. The Gluten-Free California variety is NOT affected. The products have Sell/Use by dates of 1/27/18 thru and including 4/13/18.
