Celebrating the Cooperative Worker

With Labor Day just around the corner, I wanted to take the opportunity to show my appreciation for our staff’s hard work, commitment to our vision, and dedication to our cooperative; it’s what makes this business awesome! At its core, Labor Day embodies many values that are shared by the co-op movement.

Co-ops have a long history of empowering and valuing employees. From the beginning, co-ops have existed to redefine the notion of what a business is and what it can do, and to put the power of a business in the hands of the people who work for it and use its services. By nature, cooperatives foster self-reliance, build networks of collaboration, and celebrate the contributions of the employees who make it all possible.

Let’s use this day to take a moment and recognize how our staff’s work moves the co-op forward, and celebrate the achievements of everyone who has been a part of building our cooperative business into what it is today.

To all of our members, thank you for supporting us and enjoy your Labor Day!
